Newsletter 27.9.21

Dear Parents/ carers,

Newsletter Week Beginning 27th September

I am pleased to tell you that Positive Covid cases in our school are low despite them rising in our school community. Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we continue to take a cautious approach.

Again if your child has any of the 3 main symptoms, please keep them at home and book a PCR test. You will need to keep your child at home until they have a negative test or the isolation period is over. TTP will advise you on this. If you are unsure, please telephone us in school and we will help to answer any questions you may have.

I will continue to put any Covid related updates on the school website under the news section so please check there regularly.

Please can I remind you that children should be wearing clean uniform to school every day to stop the spread. This is really important!

If your child has a positive test result over the weekend or early Monday morning, please put POSITIVE in the subject box and email  their name and class to

We are collecting football boots and astroturf trainers for the Swansea City Boot Room project. If your child has grown out of any football boots please donate them to this good cause by putting them in the plastic box just outside the foyer. There are many families that have been extremely grateful for these over the last few months.

Schoop

There are still lots of families who don’t have access to schoop and are missing out on vital messages. Please download the schoop app if you haven’t already, to receive regular updates on your phone. Many thanks!

Squid

Please make sure if your child is having school dinners their Squid account is topped up. If you don’t have a squid account, please contact Mrs Seager in the school office who will be able to assist you.

Thursday 30th September- Harvest Assembly

Earlier this year, one of our children did a great job raising awareness of the charity ‘SOS Cymru Wales’ and we would like to continue to support them by donating our harvest collection this year. Please could you donate items suitable for ‘SOS Shelter Cymru’ clients, some of which will have limited resources, including a kettle and maybe a microwave to use in a shared area. Any foods that can be used with limited resources would be really useful. We will quarantine the items safely before they get collected.

Suggested items include; Long life milk, cereal, packet noodles, tins, packets of rice, pasta, pasta sauce, tinned soup, squash, tinned meat, tuna, tinned vegetables, packets of pasta and sauce, tea bags etc.
