Dear Parents/ carers,
Newsletter Week Beginning 4th October
I am pleased to tell you that Positive Covid cases in our school remain low. Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we continue to take a cautious approach. Please can I ask you to keep following the one-way system around the school grounds.
Please remember, if your child has any of the 3 main symptoms, please keep them at home and book a PCR test. You will need to keep your child at home until they have a negative test or the isolation period is over. This website has further information.
If your child has a positive test result over the weekend or early Monday morning, please put POSITIVE in the subject box and email their name and class to
treuchaf.primaryschool@swansea-edunet.gov.uk
A BIG THANK YOU for all the donations for the SOs Shelter Cymru foodbank. I was amazed by what we have collected. The items will be collected on Monday morning so if you did forget and would like to donate please bring it in on Monday.
Photographs
The children looked very smart for their school photographs today. I know some of you were disappointed that we didn’t do sibling photographs but we are following guidelines. If later on in the school year things have settled I will invite the photographer in again for sibling photos. Watch this space!
Extra Bank Holiday
Next year we have an extra bank holiday thanks to the Queen’s celebrations. The bank holiday falls in our May half term so Swansea LEA have asked each cluster of schools to decide on an extra day off in term time so the children (and staff) don’t miss out. The Pen-yr-heol cluster have decided that we will have our extra day off on Friday 29th April and tag it on to Mayday weekend.
LEA governor
The governing body have a vacancy for an LEA governor to join our governing body. If you work for City and County of Swansea and would like more information, please contact me on 893682.
Active Journeys
The children had a fab day on Wednesday learning to ride their scooters safely. We will be working with Roger from ‘Active journeys’ over the next few months to encourage children to ride and scoot to school safely.
