Newsletter Week Beginning 18th October
Shwmae!
We have had a lovely Shwmae day in school today. The children have been taking part in lots of Welsh activities including singing, drama, artwork and games. The atmosphere in school has been wonderful so a big thank you for sending your children into school wearing red, white and green it has certainly added to the fun and games! Llongafarchiadau to all the Welsh speakers who were spotted by members of staff speaking Welsh throughout the day. A big thank you to Miss Morgan and Mrs Lodwig for organising it-diolch yn fawr!
Spooky Day!
On Thursday 21st October we will be holding a spooky day in school. The children are welcome to dress up if they wish but can I ask that you don’t send in masks, broomsticks or other props. If they would like to donate £1 for not wearing school uniform they can, and all donations will go to the PTA.
Parent Panel
There will be a parent panel meeting on Monday with me at 9am so please come along for a chat, a coffee, a piece of cake or biscuit. This is a very informal chat to share your views of our school and suggest improvements. We will need to remain 2 metres distanced in our gym. It’ll be lovely to see you and everyone’s welcome!
Inset Day
There will be an INSET day for staff training on Friday 22nd October.
New children
A warm welcome to our new children who have joined our school. We have welcomed five lovely new children since September and I am pleased to say they have settled in really well. Our children have been a credit to you and have welcomed them with open arms. It is a pleasure to see their kind and friendly nature show through when visitors come in to look around. I am very proud of them all!
If you have any toddlers who haven’t registered with us yet, please put their name down in the school office so we can plan ahead for the next few years. We would love to be able to have an afternoon nursery from January but we need some more little ones to start. If you know anyone who has a child due to turn 3 in the next few months, please contact the school office.
Swansea Parent Carer Forum Survey
If you haven’t completed this survey yet, please do so over the next few days. It is for parents who have children with additional learning needs. Many Thanks.
