Dear Parent / carer

The new risk assessment and Covid measures are clearly working in our school because we remain in the green category with less than 5% of our school work force absent. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for wearing facial coverings, following the one-way system when dropping children off and maintaining social distancing when on school grounds. Diolch yn fawr!

The Busy Bee Buzz Club is now open!

On Monday 17th January, we are opening our Busy Bee Buzz club. This is a school based, teaching assistant led, after school group. The session starts at 3pm-4.45pm and costs £5 per session. Please contact the school office or follow the booking link on schoop to book your child/children in before 3pm on a Thursday. Payments to be made to the school office before the sessions start on a Monday.

Parking

Please can I ask you to observe the car park signage and NOT park in the turning bay under any circumstances? Our car park is quite limited and we have many STF pupils who come to school in a taxi. It has been reported that some parents are parking in the turning bay and are preventing the taxis and other cars from turning. This is causing significant congestion.

I have also noticed that some parents/carers are walking their children across the carpark in front of cars rather than walking along the pathway. The pathway is a safer route for the children and following this direction will prevent any unwanted accidents.

Fish is the dish

A big thank you to Nerys from Fish is the dish, who came into school on Wednesday to work with years 4 and 6. The children had a fantastic time learning about local produce, ways to cook fish and even tasting the seafood themselves. We had a mixed response from the tasting!

Kerb craft

Year 2 will be participating in Kerb craft from Tuesday onwards. The children will need to be dressed for the weather because they will go out in the local community come rain or shine! Please ensure they have a warm coat and shoes or wellies that are suitable for the rain.

Governor opportunities

The governing body are looking for additional members to support them in making decisions regarding our school. If you are passionate about making a difference and enthusiastic about improving children’s lives, this could be the role for you!  We are looking for a community and local authority governor so if you would like more information please contact Mrs Seager, clerk to governors, via the school office.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend.

Kind regards

Mrs Davies
