Dear Parent / carer
We have seen a steady increase in covid cases this week and almost 10% of the children in school are absent for this reason. Please be vigilant and if your child has any of the 3 main symptoms complete a lateral flow test. We have plenty of tests available in school if you are unable to go to a chemist or pharmacy to collect one but they are also available online to order. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for wearing facial coverings on school grounds, following the one-way system and maintaining social distancing. Thank you!
The Busy Bee Buzz Club is open!
We opened our Busy Bee Buzz club on Monday. This is a school-based, teaching assistant led, after school group. The session starts at 3pm-4.45pm and costs £5 per session. Please contact the school office or follow the booking link on schoop to book your child/children in before 3pm on a Thursday. Payments need to be made to the school office before the sessions start on a Monday. We will run this club until the February half term and re-assess numbers.
INSET Day- Friday 18th February 2002
Our January INSET day was postponed due to the planning days allocated from the Welsh Government so the new date will be Friday 18th February.
Kerb craft
Year 2 have started Kerbcraft this week. Please ensure they have a warm coat and shoes or wellies that are suitable for the rain.
Governor opportunities
The governing body are looking for additional members to support them in making decisions regarding our school. If you are passionate about making a difference and enthusiastic about improving children’s lives, this could be the role for you! We are looking for a community and local authority governor so if you would like more information please contact Mrs Seager, clerk to governors, via the school office.
Year 6 Residential to Morfa Bay
All payments for the Year 6 residential need to be paid in at the school office. An information meeting with year 6 staff will be held closer to the date.
